Candice studies herself

A shot I did last night with our photosession of Candice.

This shot is meant to look like she is reading a book about herself, but the images themself are supposed to look like how she would look if the book wasn't in the way. The images ON the book are the model and not a random book just covering a different models face.

Critiques welcome.

Great idea, just that I agree on the makeup making her look like she has two black eyes at best or just wrinkly skin. However, the concept is super and will pdefinitely produce a tremendous result given better makeup (and that is not up to the photographer).

How exactly did you photoshop the image onto the book while at the same time keeping her hands over the book? I konw a bit about layers but from my understanding, the original image is one layer and the only way to separate the hand from the book to make them two layers would be to sit there for a while and select the hand with the lasso tool (think that's what it's called). Care to share how you did it?>
