This evening there was an outstanding sunset off my favorite picture taking beach. I could not get there fast enough to actually catch the sun before it went down, but did catch it shortly there after. Other then the picture how do I know it was a really great sunset.....?

Within 2 minutes of my arrival 2 other photographers showed up at the same beach and started taking pictures. A fourth was present but he had forgotten to put his camera in the car that day. All four of us agreed that we had just had to catch this sunset as it was a very rare one in our area. [Clear no haze, not many contrails from jets]
Present were my Canon 10D, A Nikon D1H? (may have been an D1x) and a Nikon F1. The fourth person had a Canon at home, but I forget which type he said, but an SLR category.
Just had to relate.
