Just be sure to bring along a spare battery or two as you'll surely run through them a lot faster since you're essentially putting your camera in "shutter half pressed" mode for as long as the plug in plugged in.

Don't forget that the Digital Rebel suspends writing to the CF card when the camera is 'active', i.e. when the shutter button is pressed halfway down. You will need to pull the plug to let the camera finish writing images to the CF card. And don't get impatient and open the card door before the light goes out, which forces an immediate camera power down, or you will lose all the unwritten images.
