I've had a 24-105 for several months, it works flawless and is very quiet. I just bought a 70-200 and when the IS is on it's kind of noisy is that normal?

Thanks

Yes. It's normal, you'll hear a "click"

Learn to like the noise. It is nice ffedback (as it turns off) that you did have the IS on. It is so easy to accidently hit those buttons and turn it off.

I hear the click to, but you can hear and feel it shaking away.

How come so loud on my 70-300 non DO and so quiet on my 24-105 L?

That's what got me started I've had my 24-105 for several months and when I got the 70-200 it was noisy. I went to the local shop and had them load one up on a 30D, and that was a big mistake because I now know what is replacing my 300 in the near future.
