A80 CF card barely fits!

So I just got an A80 and I LOVE it except for one thing, I have a Lexar 512 PRO CF card and the door on the camera won't close easily over the card. I guess it's just slightly larger than the card that the camera ships with.

I have to push pretty hard to get the door to lock and I'm afraid that will put some pretty heavy wear on the door mechanism.

Two things, why would there be a larger CF card if they are supposed to be standardized, and why would Canon leave no room for error on something like this?

hmm, I'm thinking about getting a A80, but I have no money. Sort of unrelated question, thats a pro card right? So its suppose to have faster transfer speeds? Do you notice a speed difference between the canon 32mb and your lexar Pro when powering on or taking pictures?

It is not a Canon trouble.
It is the CF that should follow a standard.
What you can try, in order not to damage your camera, is (at your own risk) rework a little bit the CF body.
