Works every time. I got caught doing a football match the other day in the rain with my 20d unpreparred. Finally the camera said enough and shut down. Fortunately once it got back into the warm coziness of my car it came back to life. Taught me a lesson though - even though I have full rain gear, I now keep a large trash bag in one of the pockets of my camera bag. Cheers.

No doubt very effective. Only problem is that he has no peripheral vision whatsoever. If something happens that's not in his field of view through the lens, he'll never see it coming. The main reason I shoot with both eyes open. Can't exactly move very fast either if needs must.

Simon.

thats hilarious! Awesome wet weather gear though! I would have expected just the camera to be covered - but himself too?! lol

No much worse that anything else that comes out of a garbage bag. :D

Exactly :D

Although Simon's point (above) is spot on. You need to be able to see what's happening no matter what side of the fence / tyres you're on.

He even has little velcro? straps to keep everything tight. Great idea.

I keep two garbage bags in my camera bag, "just in case". Not only do they work for make-shift rain gear, they also create a dry surface for sitting/laying on wet grass.
