I have searched the forum and cannot find an answer to my problem. I am hosting myself so I don't use an FTP program much. I entered the correct ftp address, username and password. These work when I log in from a networked PC using WS-FTP. However, when I enter the same ftp address, username and password into EE, I get a connection but the login fails (login incorrect).

Could this be because I don't have the correct folder listed in the "test folder" field? I have tried creating folders at various levels of my directory (the Mac defaults to the home directory when you access via FTP) and still have no luck. Any help would be appreciated.

Auttaa Minua Please! (did I just say "Help me" or "Relieve me"... It has been 15 years since I was an exchange student in Finland) :)

The path _may_ be the reason, if the login points to a path that is not allowed for that user the ftp server may reject the login,but in that case it must be a ftp server configuration error because user has not logged into any directory yet hence can not be in that wrong place.

In WS_FTP try giving command "PWD" after you have ftp-browsed into into you gallery folder and see if you can see that "good" ftp path.

Check also CAPS in login data. And firewall (allow localhost or 127.0.0.1, whatever you localhosts ip is)

PS. Finnish language is so crazy:

Auta = help me (targeted to one person)
Auttakaa = help me ((targeted to many persons or third person genitive)
Autathan = will you help (one)
Autattehan = will you help (many)
Auttamaton = helpless
Auttamattoman avuton = hopelessly helpless
Auttaako? = does it help?
Avun tarpeessa = in need of help
Avun ulottumattomissa = out of help
Apu = help (noun)
