Greetings All,
I am using both Raw Image Converter 2(for 1D) & File Viewer Utility 1.2(for 10D). Both programs let you use custom WB and save the WB setting, how do you load a custom WB? I know I'm over-looking something simple somewhere else you wouldn't be able to save something you couldn't load?

hi Todd,
I never use custom white balance but it should work this way!
The custom white balance is stored in the camera with your reference image (read your camera manual for the procedure) a white or middle gray card.
Now you shoot a series of pic in the same condition using the custom white balance!
When using FVU you could always convert a serie of pic using the same WB value! First open your reference pic with "custom balance" this will pick up the in camera stored value for this particular pic!
Then select all pics you would convert with this same "choosed" white balance and run in a batch.

Thanks for the reply, Marcel.
I'll give that a shot a little later. I usually have great results with AWB, however, shooting a jazz band the other night was a real challenge when using flash. I shot about 1/3 of the show using flash and AWB didn't like the enviornment!
Thanks,

O.K. I see!
You could also (if all pics are about in the same situation) use the picker on one pic trying different choices for WB (choosing different neutral areas, try to not use white areas as they have tendancy to catch more easily ambiant color cast), when you like the result you could use this WB to convert your selected pics.

Greetings All-
Still no luck with the custom white balance problem. It is fine for a single image, but how to apply it to several? I have found no way to load a CWB setting after you save it. Again, I am over-looking something here or I must be expecting too much. Maybe I need to bang my head on the desk 3 times and move on?
Thanks,
Todd Asher
