I like them, the sense of speed and motion is there without the wheel blur.
But wait for some "blurrers" to post :D
PS: You'd better chop them down to 800 pixies max before you get told off :)

#3 is a beautiful shot! Definitely mag print quality!
I agree that most of them all shot great action without having to be blurred.
Nice job!

Very nice set. I really like the first one with the city in the back ground. All of them do portray a sense of motion, this is true. IMO The fourth one looks like he is sitting still about to get passed by the speeding bikes behind him. You caught the shot excellently and it would have benefitted from a slower shutter speed showing motion (not blur) in the wheels. Excellent work keep it up. I really enjoyed them.

"Blurrers" is short for "Motion blurrers" :D
Some shots don't need it, some do and some would be even better with it.
Shot 4 was at 1/3200th
As you say,a bit longer shutter would have enhanced that one.

Nice shots! I think you have a lot of elements working for you: great color saturation, creative compostion, good timing, the list could go on...

thanks for the comments . i agree that #4 is missing a little something . i would have liked to have gotten the lead rider's wheel in the air , that would have helped i think . i dont like to shoot much blur at the bigger races because my keeper rate is so low ... but i plan to try a whole day at some local races coming up . any tips or suggestions ?

Take lots of shots :D
Start at higher speed (1/640th) or so and every so often drop the speed a bit.
Check them out later and when you see the keeper ratio going up, next time start there and slowly go slower.

very cool! looks like the track owner could use a little help watering, though. ;)
i've been to calgary, and actually had the pleasure of doing some trail riding up there - it's a great place!
