hi all,
this will be the first year i offer christmas cards for my clients and i need to know if anyone has any advice about them. i want to have them directly printed on cards rather than the postcard more generic style everyone sees. does anyone have a site or vendor they would recommend for this? has anyone tried the new mpix option? they said they couldn't send me samples. i would also love any ideas anyone has for christmas-y ideas for pictures. i do have access to studio but do most of my work outside. i would love to have some sort of outdoor place, setting to use but it would have to be soon since i begin shooting these things in just a few weeks. any suggestions? thanks!

Allot of the online printing services such as mpix.com offer seasonal cards that can be printed with your image of choice. Is this the type of things that you are looking for.

In the past I have made my own using christmas clipart that you can find online in vast amounts. These were just family things though and not sent out professionally.

Go to a professional printshop local to you and talk to them. Even if you don't get them printed there, you will have a better idea of pricing and all your options. I would highly suggest avoiding the quick printing chains. A lot of printshops may farm these out to venders that specialize in cards but will most likely have more samples than you can handle.
