1st one is wicked the second one though is a pity that you don't have him at full stretch. The third one is pretty average and the background can be a little distracting. Do you use fill-flash at all? I noticed that my camera tends to underexpose due to the large amount of bright blue in the background which sometimes leaves parts of the rider very much in the dark. Do you have a PL filter, if not maybe you should look into one as it will eliminate the reflections from the visor allowing you to see his eyes.

Yeah I'm wanting to get both a flash and a C-PL. I think most cameras will tend to underexpose due to the bright background. Good tips for next time.

Great shots! These really make me want to go out and shoot some motor sports. I like these, nice work.

I like the shot w/ the buildings in the back ground (and the others too), I think it gives a little more sense of being up in the air, when you can't see anything but sky for background the riders could be 2 feet or 20 feet in the air... but you just don't know. I wonder what is the best solution to give MX big air pics the feeling of BIG AIR? Anyone have any ideas?

aprt from losing the close up and shooting wide angled I think it's a case of hope for some clouds as I was lucky enough to get in one of my posts, the only other way is, as suggested already to shasta, use a slower ss and get some motion blur in the wheel, not so hard to extend fully off your bike and get back on if you only 3 ft in the air

Number 3.....is that a new move? Most riders let go of the handle bars, or do kicks etc, this dude has taken his shirt off in mid air. What's that move called?

Nice piccies as well by the way.

Thanks everyone. New move? Dude rode the entire time without a shirt. I really want to get a flash.
