I remember the days in midde school where I would go to our girls field hockey games and see them swing and miss and it seemed as though every 3 seconds someone kicked the ball.
It certainly was a change going to my first collegiate field hockey game and to see how athletic and talented these girls are.
I can definitely tell I'm getting better at this already, with this being my third sports shoot. My keeper rate has gone up tremendously. Comments and feedback please...

The action...

Is the lack of responses out of spite due to the misleading title? :p I hope i didnt dissapoint any of you when you looked in this thread.

I think the photos look great. Maybe with so many threads to look at people just don't want to take the time to click on each individual photo to have a seperate window pop up, etc. To be honest, I'm not too keen on the creative #6 photo--it looks a lot more like one of my shots where I totally have missed the action, but I do like the remaining 7 photos.

Just out of curiosity, isn't it a little odd to be putting so much water on what appears to a synthetic field?

your part right.. the subject line cheapens the whole thing.. Add to that the first pic I click on I get a large fart button at the top of the screen for my kids in the room to laugh at..

however at the end of the day its the pics that count and I think they are excellent.. I like number 2 with whatever spraying up. I like the composition/composure? of number 6 with maybe a bit off the top.. All in all a nice collection

That's because they're supposed to be 800 pixels on the longest side, and you're limited to 8. Keep it within those guidelines and you should be ok.

Nice pics too. I haven't shoot field hockey in ages.

Super shots!
The exposure and timing are nearly perfect. How did you meter?
Were most of these taken using your 70-200 zoom?
