Colin Mcrae in the Porsche Carrerra Cup at Knockhill

These were shot on the Saturday. Colin Mcrae was racing in the VIP car. He did not have a good race as his radiator was damaged in Saturdays race which forced him to retire and then on the Sunday his engine overheated due to the radiator damage the day before! Any C&C welcome.

Looks like you me and mws3 were all in the same position for that race.
Pity about the downpour just before the race, there seemed to be some on slicks and some on wets.
Suppose for Knockhill the weather was pretty good for the day.

zebedee I dont know where you and mws3 were positioned but I had accreditation and was shooting behind the tyre wall trackside at the hairpin next to where the TV camera scaffold was. Remember this was on the Saturday which was the practice day for the BTCC. There was one young guy earlier on in the day shooting with a 30d that I talked to that may have been one of you? ?

Thanks Sheep Dog this was taken with the 70-200 2.8IS which I must say is a great lens (cheers Mark) I only used this lens and the Sigma 120-300mm all day, great combination for this type of motorsport.

The second shot looks quite static. I would lower the shutter speed.
