Second shot is a neat angle... I like it. How wide angle of a lens is that?

That second shot is a classic ...or destined to be one.

thanks everyone.
the set up on the 2nd shot was: 20D, 15mm 2.8, manfrotto tapletop tripod, 1/2000 at f4, fired by remote by the side of the course. you must keep still as the horses approach. (of course!)
I had to ask permission from the clerk of the course, who wasn't to happy at first. when she saw the shots after, they bought an A2 mounted print as well as the 1st shot.

You wouldn't think the underside back end of a horse would be a good picture... But thats brilliant.. well done :)

Those are great shots - The first could benefit from just a touch more contrast - it will make the horse "pop" more. A little more Unsharp mask will help to define the muscles on the horse as well
Nicely done with the composition

I charged the racecourse approx US$65. If you would seriously like a copy I could let you have 1 very cheap as a photography freind. maybe $15 + postage. Let me know!!
