I am a new D30 owner and am looking to buy a fisheye lens. However, I am concerned about the 1.6X focal length ratio of the D30.
Any tips or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

I just get Zenitar 16mm f/2.8 fisheye lenses
from my friend in Moscow.
I tried them a little bit - looks OK.
Do you have some particular question about how
fisheye works with D30?

Thanks, for your response. I know that the fisheye "effect" is reduced by the D30. However, I am not sure how much it reduces this effect, can I still get a good fisheye effect, and what fisheye lenses would work best with the D30.
Thanks, for your response.

A full frame fisheye, like Sigma 15mm EX (us$400) or Canon ef 15mm (us$650) with 180 degree view, will be reduced to about 104 degrees on the D30...roughly about 17-18mm in 24x35mm.
Basically you get some distortion, but it looks fine -I like it- NO good for Architecture though. You will get a much cleaner view with a 14mm lens (about 22mm in 24x35mm) expect to pay anywhere from us$800 for a Tamron/Sigma 2.8 or close to us$2k for the gorgeous 14mmf2.8L
