Two shots of my son taken during an evening round of golf last Friday. C&C appreciated.

Either this guy spends more time in the sand than david hasselhauf or he was just shooting from there for you to take pics...either way they look cool...good shots

I like the second one, which is interesting, because usually I don't like when the subject is facing away. I like how you captured the trail of sand following the ball, and that he is still at the end of his stroke.

For the first one, I would have liked to have seen it with a bit of a faster shutter speed. Instead of 250, maybe 500, or even 1000. It would be neat to "stop" the sand in mid-air.

But all in all, good job!

Wow! I've never seen that concept before - that's amazing creativity! I like the blur in the first one - it's just enough to indicate sweeping motion.

My only nitpicks - maybe open up the aperture more if you could so the BG is more blurred out? and maybe these look a tad soft to me?

I'm thorougly impressed - I've never seen anything quite like this before. Great job.

i like what your trying to do with the shots (no pun intended). but, as a golfer, i'm distracted a LOT by the basketball sneakers. they look WAY out of place in this shot. particularly, since he's in the sand. kills it for me.

Its a long story....my son forgot his golf shoes where he was working this summer, and I didnt have an extra pair at the cottage to loan him!! As it was I only beat him by one stroke and I think his lack of spikes was the difference :D He plays very well and was quite embarrased he didnt have any spikes!

no worries. you're going to go back and do it again earlier in the day with faster shutter anyway. ;) I look forward to it!
