Heres a couple of pics of a posing spider, don't know what type?, but it behaved itself for a short photo session:)

Lovely shots HF- think it's a type of lynx spider (they tend to have very spiky legs)

Thanks Brian, i think its a lynx spider, seen a good book on New Zealand spiders in my favourite book shop the otherday, looks like a good book, will have to buy it when i get some spare money, will come in handy, since i've started to seeing different spiders around the place :):)

Lynx spiders - almost certainly. Looks similar to Oxyopes Elegans.

Very nice shots :)

I had the pleasure of catching one of these babies in the process of just having court a male midge - man it was lightning quick.
