RAW option ?

Reading about using the RAW function on my Digital Rebel started to interest me after hearing so much about it here. However when I go through the menu to the quality settings I see no option for RAW. There are two settings each for large, medium and small, but no RAW setting. Am I missing something or do I need to download anything for this to be an option ?

If you have your camera in AUTO mode (the little green rectangle), you won't be able to use RAW. Put the camera into one of the creative modes (Fv, Tv, M, etc.)and try again.

There are lots of threads here about RAW. You might search for some, you will learn a lot about RAW that way.

I commend you for using RAW. You will be amazed at the quality that little camera will produce!
