Welcome to POTN Jamie. its amazing what those guys can do on a dirt bike. Its hard to get good exposures against the sky, but these are very interesting shots. In the first two shots you might want to remove the guy on the bottom to increase the sence of the bikes flying. Keep up the good work.

Too bad they are so far away but good attempt. It's difficult isn't it. You see images that are amazing and you think I'm going to get some shots like that, it must take a heck of a lot of practice.

yeah i tottaly agree with you. its very dificult. but since then i have now got a 75-300 so that might be alot better in the future but the chances of seeing this again is very slim.

Yep,as everyone is saying it's tough getting ok exposures against a bright sky.
Coincidentally i too was geting some jump shots today (see the "MX" thread).
One thing i noticed is the major improvement you get when taking pics from the same side the sun is coming from. This will do two things - it means the background is the darkest part of the sky (even if only slightly) plus the riders are lit by the sun.
Added together these make a significant difference.

Oops,i should also have said -
Even doing what i said before, most pics of this nature are going to be difficult.Exposing the sky properly then lightening up the riders in photoshop is nearly allways nessesary.
I played around with your third image and managed to improve it alot, but didn't want to repost it in case this annoyed you.
By the way -if you don't mind people doing this ( changing and reposting your images) you can change your user settings so that the phrase 'image editing ok' is displayed under your avatar. It's real handy sometimes

Ok, just for clarification, this isn't "motoRcross", it's sort of "motocross" in that it's Freestyle Motocross or FMX. ;) :D
I like these but, man, they could have been so much better had you had that 75-300 at the time. Regardless, that third one is a nice shot. Well done.
