Here is a panning shot of Mcrae in the Carrerra. Hope this one does not seem as static? C&C always welcome. I have tried for a different style with my PP thanks Mark ;) All comments welcome good or bad:D

Pretty impressive Ricky, Looks like you could lift the car right out of the screen. :D A good capture of McCrae.

It's a great shot - the car is perfectly sharp with plenty of background blur to emphasise the speed. Apart perhaps from the farly bright greens of the grass I like the PP.

it's a well timed shot mate..but I think you have gone a bit too much with the PP - the amount of sharpening is probably about right but to me it looks as if you have tried to revive a shot that was maybe underexposed with the highlight/shadow fixing function

agree with Dave on the shadow/highlight. this can make your saturation look funny too. what I would suggest is a crop to remove the people at the top

Richard would like to see the post cropped as discussed at work today …look forward to seeing it

Ok folks I have read through your comments and I really welcome your feedback. I have went back to PS with the original shot and changed several things.
Mike yeah you are right the greens were fairly bright so I have calmed them down a bit.
DaveG the shot was not underexposed, however you were spot on about the highlight/shadow tool being used. Only recently starting using this function so probably not mastered it yet;) I had done several other things to the shot to try and change appearance of the shot which I thought was ok, but it looks like it did not hit the spot on here:( but you live and learn:lol:
Poah I thought about removing the people at the top but I thought it added more movement to the shot. I have gone back and re-cropped and you are right it is better without them:lol:
Superscot although I agreed with you at the work last night when I tried to crop out the the edge of the track it did not work, but thanks for taking the time out of your busy nightshift to comment ;)
Please let me know if this shot is better or not, I await your replies http://www.clipart.co.uk/clipart/mazeguy/animated/yo-yo.gif Thanks Ricky

The shot is perfect now, IMHO. Well done!
Isn't it great having a forum like this? :)

I think i prefer the first one with the crowd still in. More Dynamic. PP wise I think the first one still has that little extra edge to it, somehow it makes it look more alive. As with all things its a purley personal opinion, the proof of the pudding as they say is what would sell more. Artists tell you that a popular painting isnt neccesarily ther best painting but does that make the people wrong? Best to go with what you prefer, unless you want to make money then go the other way. Whatever, its all good fun.
Keep em coming Ricky

Hope you don't mind Ricky but i thought Id post the only decent one of Mcrae I got on Sunday. Not nearly as sharp as yours but I keep trying.
Mcrae seemed to be the man a lot of photogs wanted to catch Its a pity we didnt get longer with him.
Great day though.
