Here's one (of many) I took at the Waterford Crystal factory in Ireland. I quite like it, but I'm not sure if it needs to be brighter or if it "captures the moment" nicely like that?

Howard, I really like that shot; the lighting accentuates the concentration of the craftsman and the object he is creating. The only change I would make would be to crop out some of the background (especially the man on the right)to increase the central focus even more.
Nice shot....Steve

Ditto Steves comment, and making it lighter will either render unnatural appearance or hotspots with blown highlights. I love it the way it is.

Agreed, I would crop out the man on the left and the one on the right. Cool pic. I guess this explains why Waterford is so expensive: they make them all by hand!

How can a man be working on glass without safety glasses?
I think your original captures the monent but a slightly tighter crop - between the two posted would be more pleasing to me

I would almost like to see it darker...which would put more emphasis on the craft...with light on his face...
Might be worth a play...

Why does he need safety glasses? He might just be polishing it with a cloth for all we can tell from the picture.
Great image - I like the darkness as it throws concentration onto this guy and hsi work.

Very nice. I agree the light on his face makes the image, but would like to see symes advice taken- it would make it even better.
