I am new to this board! I have had an A620 for about 8 months, I love it. Wanted the Rebel, but financially, just couldn't do it.

I am looking for accessories for my camera, and was wondering if anyone has any recomendations, or thinks this is a good purchase.....

Also, anyone ever have any exp with formatting? On the way home from the shore I formatted my memory card accidentally (no confirm screen) and lost close to 400 pics, I dl a few shareware, no luck, so I sent it to a DIR company thru a friend. Still waiting to hear back, but was wondering if anyone else had done something similar.

TIA

Do you need every one of those items? Perhaps figure out which ones you need and buy them seperately. That may end up costing less. And if it costs more, then you will probably end up with higher quality products. Bottom line is that I just do not trust those mega accessory package deals. No name non proven products. A decent tripod alone would cost as much as the whole set. OTOH, you could buy it as a cheap way to learn which items you really need and may want to upgrade in the future.

I see they'd like you to think they're selling SanDisk cards. I seriously doubt their "Twice the resolution" or "shatterproof" lens claims. You don't need a UV or FL-D filter for colour correction - that's what your camera's WB settings do. I'd pick up the pieces you really need (two tripods?) individually from somewhere you can trust.

there are quite a few things there that I don't need, I wasn't sure about the no name either, so I appreciate your honesty. I have a 2 g SD card that I just got on sale at Staples - so awesome!!!!!
