I read that when the t2d was introduced, the flash's performance was quite erratic in e-ttl. It even made some cameras lock up.

What's the latest word on this flash? Have the bugs been fixed? How does it perform in e-ttl and auto?

I have the Quantum Q Flash T2D and Turbo Z battery. I have used it with my Nikon F5 and a little with my 10D in Auto and ETTL. No problems thus far. You have peaked my curiosity though. I'll do some test shots this weekend (plugging in the battery now), and let you know!

I shot about 30 shots last night with my Q Flash T2D and 10D in Q-TTL (Quantum version of E-TTL) No problems. The flash and camera worked fine together, as did the Autofocus assist light on the Q Flash. This is clearly not a photojournalist set up, too big and bulky. But it's great for a wedding, party or other stationary event.

Scott,

Thanks for taking your flash on a test drive with the 10d. It's good to hear it works well. Looks like a great flash. I'm planning to use it for weddings.

I was so happy with the results, particularly bounce flash without the diffuser attached, that I just ordered an extra Turbo Z battery from B and H. Glad to help.
