Hi,
This shot is a large crop on a photo I took whilst out testing out my new Tamron 28-75, this lense is soooo sharp.
How dark is the leaf for everybody? On my own computer it looks fine but on here it looks too dark.

The leaf is too dark on my monitor.

Is this any better?

Yes, better, but I think it could be even a little lighter.

Another try.. I don't want to lighten it too much as i'll lose the contrast and detail in the lines.

That's better.

i like the first one. there is nothing wrong with being dark, and you have a great amount of detail there.

Cheers, I posted a few re-edits to see what people preferred. I guess it's all a matter of taste.

I like your slightly lightened pic out of the three. I had a similar idea a while ago and shot this with my macro lens.

I prefer the level of detail visible on the edits.

Thanks dave. I'm just going to go and edit some photos on my own pc that I took in Newcastle yesterday. I was really pleased with some of the results (judging by the lcd) so hopefully i'll be posting some new urban shots and quite a few new architectural shots (might work on some B+W too). Wish I had the CP that i've just bought off the same guy as you though. At least i'll have it for the next time now :)
