San Francisco Bay Area @ Night

Hi All,

I spent Saturday night wandering around the Bay Area giving my new 24-70L a workout. Wondering if anyone has enhancement ideas on the linked image. Seems a bit dark, but lightening seemed to strip the feeling from the shot.

Please feel free to comment on any of the shots in the series.

Hi Alan

This is with a pretty wild Curves adjustment using an adjustment layer with a layer mask which masked off the sky and most of the water....

Hope you don't mind my fiddling but I thought I would have a go... I'm not sure if it adds much to the image though and in fact, this certainly isn't the best in the gallery in my view.

Oh, and I dream of L lenses!

I love what it did to the wall, but not what it did to the water. I'll mess with Curves a bit myself.

Would you mind telling which in the gallery you prefer?

No problemo

The 2nd & 3rd shots (the sky in the 2nd is a treat) and the last in the album/series. I also like the Crane/moon shot but for me, the composure is not quite right though as always, I hesitate to say what would make it right! If pressed, a bit more at the bottom and a bit less at the top?

The PS adjustment only took a couple of seconds by the way, you could get better results with more care!

Overall, lovely photos! Enjoy that L glass!
