It looks a little monochromatically yellow. Oh, wait, that's Pekka's forum background color. :)

Perhaps you could try posting again.

It's forbidden... perhaps that's why it's not showing up as an embedded picture since the link needs to access that site. If you can't find a way around the problem, email me the picture and I'll include it for you -- don@kleptography.com. It doesn't matter how large it is -- if it's a sunset, it should be large.

One super shot. I love the colors. What ISO ? I am assuming that it is > 100.

Hard to beleive that there are bunch of sharks out there waiting for some toes to hit the water.

This is a "Decicive Moment" shot, and you were:

1. There for It.

2. Had the Eye to see It.

3. Had the skill to capture It.

One minute either way would have been a different picture entirely. The light would have been different and, most importantly to this image, the subjects may have been gone or moved to a spot that wouldn't have worked the same way. Your composition is right on and the human element made the difference. Nice.

Pretty sure the ISO was either 50 or 100... I've played around with the settings, but mostly it just sits on 50, or 100 if it's lower light - I use a tripod a lot of the time, so don't worry too much about camera shake...

Don't know about the sharks - but the fish were biting like mad things that evening... there's a jetty just out of sight to the right of this shot... would make a good shot but was just too messy with people on Valentines Day...

Cheers,
Stuart

I'm a bit of a newbie to photography, but my initial reaction to this was ...absolutely STUNNING.

Can I use it as my desktop wallpaper ?

Hi Crumbles,

Thanks for the compliment - Yes, you're quite welcome to use it as your wallpaper - I've got it there myself at the moment (and with a heap of other pics as my screensaver using jpegsaver - a 90kb freeware screensaver that has some neat options...)

Cheers,
Stuart

First sunset, huh?... Many of us would be very happy with that picture even if it was our 100th sunset photo... :)

Very nicely captured!
