Sunset over the Everglades

I know you guys see a million sunsets but I am interested in your input on this picture to refine my skills. My feeling is that it is too dark although I'm sure there is more wrong than just that.

I don't think that the picture is too dark, although I don't know real conditions of taking it (and your intentions). As it is, I like it and it gives me calm and warm feeling. Good point is the highlighted grass in the center. Maybe I would like to see more such grass in the lower part.

The highlighted grass is what I wanted more of and the reason I feel its dark. I just had very little time to shoot before I lost the light.

I think the sky is great and I like the darkness of the outline of the trees. I would perhaps have brought the horizon down to about 1/3 of the lower half of the picture, or maybe less. This way the black area at the bottom of the picture would be less distracting and the bottom of the picture could perhaps start with the highlighted grass area. Well done with the sky, though!
