This was taken at Brisbane annual 'RiverFire' fireworks show, at which the F-111 swooping low over the city burning fuel rapidly is the highlight.

The air is filled with smoke from the fireworks, which in my opinion was an unexpected but definitly a good suprise, as it caused the air to look like it was on fire..

That is a truly awesome picture. Next time increase ISO a bit up (not sure how 350 handles noise. on my 300 I'd make bring it up to 200ISO..if your 400 is good, I'd try that). That way you can stop down your f stop to something like F11ish so more of the stuff will be sharp and in focus.

See my nighttime shots, I shot most of those around F9-11

Thanks,
Those are the first real (ie other than in my house) night time shots i took since getting the camera, so i am only just now learning exactly how i need to adjust ISO, and f stop. All i adjusted for these photos manually was the shutter speed/exposure time.

Ill have to wait another year to get another chance, hopefully by then ill be much better and will be able to get different, better shots
