"End of the day, tired and sleepy, on your way home.
You've seen the view a million times so all you can do is sit back and stare at the blurred movie passing by."

My first post :).
I've read the FAQ and it stated that i could post 8 images in a thread. I don't see a lot of threads with that many images though.
So if i'm doing something wrong or if there are too many images, please let me know.

This is a great series to start posting in POTN - welcome, djengizz!

The feeling of traveling is beautifully captured. I liked especially #2 and #7.

These are great. I'm also very curious about the settings for the last 3... I absolutely love those shots.

Thanks everyone for the welcome and all the comments!

About the camera and the setting:
For this series i used a 5MP compact camera (S2) because of the large depth of field and because it's less conspicuous in a train.
Noise and sharpness wasn't really an issue and the 75x50 prints I’ve made from this series are fine. The biggest disadvantage of using a compact was the shutter lag.
Most shots were taken at large aperture values (in my case max 2.7). Shutter speeds aren't really helpful because most shots were taken while driving and sometimes i used panning techniques.
#6 was taken with a shutter speed of 0.5 sec (I focussed on the girl while the train stood still and took the shot when the train started driving). #7 was taken at 1/40 from a moving train and here the parallax effect worked in my advantage (objects further appear to move less then objects close by) and the man waiting at the station is completely blurred while the background is still reasonably sharp. #8 was taken at 1/4.

Tnx again for all the comments :).

Tnx, i even added extra noise in post processing. I think it suits these pictures.
