I haven't shot anything for almost two months and I seem to have forgotten how far the 600mm reaches. This was my first shot of the morning. I had to reposition myself for the rest of the shots, but I got tired of shooting tiny waves so I paddled out.

Glad to see you back! I just got a 400mm f/2.8L ... haven't even put it on a body yet! :-)

I am waiting for a Wimberley P-50 lens plate ... you can't handhold the beast! I will take it Friday night to Marco Antonio Solis even if I have to use it on a monopod if the plate doesn't arrive although I am not fond of monopods. There's a guy named Orias in Santa Barbara who shoots surfers with his ... amazing shots. He is a cardiologist of some sort and I met him at the zoo. Very nice and soft spoken. I have cricket and bicycling on my list of uses, too! :-)
