Both very good and interesting pictures. I like the light and texture in the first one. The wide angle distortion works well in the second.

The first one is pretty good, but, in order for it to work, you have to do something about the foreground - the blown white and the out of focus railing. I don't think you should crop the latter, because the origin of that line is important and because the little bit of window on the left side needed to hold the sense of lateral space.
Off topic, but look at how shallow the steps are and how high the risers are. Old houses often seem to be this way; from the days before building codes. The reason this house is uninhabited is because everybody who lived there fell down the steps one too many times.

I like the first picture. I would crop out the left part of the picture where the railing is out of focus, and that little piece of the window that is showing. Nice pictures.
