Hello Pekka,
I received the following error message after upgrading to Beta 5
********************************************
Exhibit Engine MySQL error!
ERROR FROM QUERY group_links in page 'index':
------------------------------
Unknown column 'ee_exhibition_group_eng.ee_groupthumbs_style' in 'field list'
------------------------------
If you encounter this error with unmodified EE source code please mail this error to EE developers with version number, detailed circumstances when it happened and preferably with a database backup dump. All reports helps improving EE to your satisfaction. Thank You.
********************************************
The following steps are what led to the error message:
1) I was running with Beta 4. Everything was working normal at this point
2) I decided to update to Beta 5. I applied both Beta 4 fixpack 1 & 2 and then Beta 5 followed by fixpack 1
3) At this stage the main index page (index.php) came up fine, however when going to the input folder the main editor page came up with an error message that indicated that some group id codes were wrong and that they were fixed. This list of errors was at least 30-40 lines long.
4) I tried to go to optimize to see if the database would benefit from an optimization or defrag. I got an error message at that point saying that optimize.php could not be found (or some words close to that meaning).
5) I thought that perhaps some error had occured when ftp'ing the updates and optimize.php was missing for that reason. I downloaded the full Beta 5 install files and uploaded the optimize.php file again.
6) At this stage the main editor page works fine, but the index page displays the error as noted below.
7) Began to wonder at this point if other files were missed/corrupted during the ftp uploads of the fixpacks and new betas. I then ftp uploaded all the files contained in the Beta 5 full install package (with the exception of connect.php files) in order to be sure that all files were the current revision and nothing was missing. The same error message persists.
As per the error message I emailed this information on Nov 30 along with a database dump. I know you are busy and get a lot of spam email and thought that you might have missed the original email so I have posted my problem here...
thnx,
brian
