I really like the first one, it caught my eye straight away. The rope leads you into the image and the boards take you across the rest of it, well done.

I like the first one, too. The stuff in the background on the second one is distracting. Also, while the rope in okay in the first shot, I don't like it in the second. Maybe it's that big knot.

Really like the first one; very striking. nice abstract quality. Maybe you could PS out the rope in the background of the second one.
