Since my wife has more time on hers hands meals have become more interesting around here, more colorful. I liked the pea pod color so before dinner I carried them down to the studio and took a few shots.

C & C welcome always.

Hey there,
I think it's just a bit dark. I feel like there's something missing - perhaps use of props to set an environment. Also, maybe you could get in closer. It doesn't really look appetizing - I think when you're shooting food, keep in mind that it should look to the viewer like they will want to eat it or go out and buy it.

A good start but, could use some improvements.

Regards,
Anne

I like it. The item that is missing is the serving spoon. I know that's the first thing I'd be looking for if I saw these on the table. ;)

While I agree that it's a wee bit dark, Ithink it needs to be only slightly lighter. On the edit I can no longer discern where the bowl ends and the background begins and the yellows seem oversaturated. Radioactive snow peas! lol

Your absolutely correct. I should have had the spoon with the dish. A spoon would have made the food more inviting, the absence says "I'm not ready to eat."

Thanks Athena

haha, is that what you tell her when you don't really want to eat the food...you'd rather shoot it?

Actually I learned that I am better off if I make no comment.
