hey guys,
i'm in the process of building my website and had a quick question. i'm not sure as to what the majority of internet surfers use by way of monitor resolution (800x600, 1024x768, etc). do you code for a specific resolution? i just don't want to code the website so that it looks good on 1024 and above, but total crap on 800. if it happens that most of my visitors are using 800, then that wouldn't be too good.

thanks!!

This is taken from my girlfriends websites stats.. www.ikirst.com

1024x768 67 38.73%
1280x1024 63 36.42%
800x600 18 10.40%
Other 13 7.51%
1152x864 10 5.78%
1600x1200 2 1.16%

My own site however is still viewable at 800x600, just looks best at 1024 or more

I coded to mine to expand/contract to fit whatever resolution the viewer uses. Looks best at 1024x768 as I swear the vast majority of my visitors will use this or higher.
