It has been a while since I have posted and I think it shows . However I was very excited to see this guy ( A first for me ). Thanks for looking.

i understand your excitement. These birds don't give many opportunities but you took good advantage of this one. Nice environment, perch, poses, light...very nice. Good to see you posting again Chris:D

Excellent environment shot. I think I prefer the second one for the similar line direction between the KF and its perch.

These are very good shots Chris, they have good exposure, nice focus good texture on the branches and lovely environment, well done.

Great shots Chris. Speaking of kingfisher.....today at school my mate found a sacred kingfisher on the ground that couldn't fly. He assumed it fell out of a nest or something. He picked it up and gave it to me. I was carrying around a kingfisher for about 20 minutes! This is my favourite bird so of course I was excited and did not want to let him go. We took it to the vet and a wildlife rehabilitator is now looking after it. Anyway...just thought I would share my exiting story with some people.

Any time you get close to these very skittish birds; Fire Away...
Did well with your image. Nice habitat, with great looking perch for the Kingkisher.
Good exposure along with very good contrasting details.
