Took this as a raw and ran it through CS2. Only took a couple of minutes. Tell me what you think!

This topic would probably better fit Critique Corner but I’ll try to answer anyway..

What kind of lighting did you use?
I can see that it was shot with AWB but it looks little bit too worm for my likings..
Maybe something like this is closer to natural?
(Only you can tell, you know how it looked like in reality.)

For this type of shots I’d try to use Gray Card or Custom White Balance.

1) Flip to Tungsten for WB (Custom WB will come later - Gotta get tech down)
2) Reduce Noise
3) Desaturate Slightly (Watch color detail i.e. pink and red - Too unbalanced IMO)
4) Add some contrast (Watch close for loss of detail)
5) Widen DOF (Use preview button to help - Step back so the lens focal plane is not so shallow)
6) Consider DxO for RAW conversion. It's really powerful in full auto

All of this is just my .02 so hope some of it helps.

I definately like it a lot better when it's too warm than cooled down. Then again, I tend to prefer my indoor shots to have a fairly warm look to them.

Why?

Why?

Not TOO warm... Just a little warmer than yours, but MUCH warmer than the edit above you, and mostly just for indoor shots. It also depends on the subject.

Okay, my second trial.. :D

This time I used a little bit more reliable gray point selection, ran it trough Noise Ninja and added some USM sharpening..
