Fellows,
A friend of mine is selling his stuff:
- Mark II 1D
- 24-70 L
- 70-200 L IS
Do you guys have any input on the fair price, assuming conditions are good.
Cheers,
Tareq

I think Tareq is in the right range. On the body it would really depend on the number of actuations. In order to validate this see if the seller will give you a copy of his most recent RAW shot and then see if someone here will run it through CanCount which will yield this number.

if the body ( canon eos 1d mark II) had less than 2000 actuations, what do you think its worth if its in excellent condition?

depends on if theres any warranty left also and if the origianl items are included.
3000-3200 isn't out of the question. You can get a new one for 3500 these days
good condition, up to maybe 20-30k clicks is ~2300.
I think Tareq's price is a bit low. the 24-70 should be in the 900 range, and the 70-200 IS in the 1400 range, depending on age and condition and location.

I gather about $4800 with current prices. $2500 for the 1DMkII, 900 for the 24-70, and 1400 for the 70-200.

That's a 1DMkIIN, not the regular MkII.

really doesn't effect prine that much. rue you can get the N for 3500 now, but the used price of 1d2s with low shots isn't really effected that much if at all.

Used 1DMkIIN's are going for around $3200 usually. 1DMkII's go from 2200-2700 or so, depending on clicks. Some joker on FM was asking for 2850 for a 1DMkII with 3xk shots the other day.

im picking up a used 1dMKII that supposedly has less than 2,400 clicks. it comes with everything except the box. im paying 2400.00 US. BTW, when i pick it up - how can i "check" it. I know about cancount. what else should I do?
YOU are so helpful!!!

Can't do much until you take it to a computer and use cancount. Honestly, you can't have any idea of the number of clicks until then. That's a great price. I bought mine a few months ago with 8k clicks, extran canon battery, and handstrap in perfect condition for 2750.

"joker" :rolleyes:
theres too many pixel peepers out there. the N is nice and all, but theres no way its worth $500 or more than a non N.

What, was that you?  I'd pay some extra for the N. couple hundred, anyway. If I were in the market for a 1-series (they don't interest me any more for the time being), I'd surely nab a 1DMkII for $2400 before a 1DMkIIN for $3200.

are you kidding, my 1d2 is going to be buried with me, even if I buy the 1d3 and beyond. we've become a bit attached, unlike my film bodies or d30/10d's. :D
