Took this in Alaska as we were boarding a sea plane - the pylons are holding up the pier above.

All c&c are welcome, though please don't ask me to reshoot it differently; it's a long trip back

I like the pic, very serene. It almost looks as if a forest is growing above and below trhe watter. I like the fact that you don’t see the underside of the dock deck. But I would PS out the white stuff floating on the water. It looks like dust on the pic.

That's funny. Looks spooky to me. Then again I'm not a big fan of the water either but I think it's a cool shot...

Did you use a polarizer filter. If not: put one on the lens and go back! You see much more inside that water... I'd also correct the \ / perspective of the poles. They are not parallel because you tilted the camera down. IMO it will look better when lines are | | |. The subject is realy good.

I can't go back. It was somewhere in Alaska and I'm in New Jersey. It's just not happening to reshoot the shot with a filter. It is what it is. :)

And the poles weren't straight - they do shift a bit. Ever see the underneath of a boardwalk?

Besides, I think the \ / of the poles adds a little something. Not everyshot/subject needs to be in perfect alignment in every direction
