Today I went to the Los Angeles County Fair. I saw a young man with my "dream lens" (Canon 100-400 mm IS) so we started talking about photography. He had 2 other photographers with him (Professional, freelancers), and they noticed my POTN Strap!! They were impressed with the comfort of the strap...so of course I directed them to this wonderful site:) .
I told them how much I have learned here, and how friendly this forum is and they plan to join too!! In addition, they will be looking to order their own POTN Strap!!

This is not my child, but I thought it would make a great photo...she was having such a great time!

Lovely photos! I especially like the second one. I, too, often pass on information about POTN to other photographers that I meet at various events. In fact, I'm considering putting the POTN web address on my next set of business cards as a resource for aspiring photographers.

Its been about 15 years since I have been to that fair. I had a friend of mine who's uncle used to work at the fairgrounds in management. He used to get us in for free.

Don't be suprised if the next time you run into some photogs that they don't already frequent this site.;)

Thats not a bad idea... about the business card thing...
Maybe i will do that, it makes you sound a lot nicer when you do something like that!

I have passed on info about POTN too, sometimes i will say, check out this website, its is a great resource!

Actually I was surprised they had not heard of this wonderful forum:)
I e-mailed them with the link and photo's I took of them, which I think turned out pretty good! When I asked if I could take their picture, they said "Sure, we never get OUR picture taken!"....and I told them I sure know how that is, and that is why I was taking their picture.
