Hi!

does anybody know, are the ground plates from a tripod (on wich the ball head or normal head is mounted) fitting each other i.e. does a manfrotto ball head fits on a gitzo tripod? or are there any adapters or something like this...

thanks

best regards
Peter

There are two standard sizes for tripod head screws, a larger one and a smaller one. It's easy to use a larger head on a smaller screw. There is a brass bushing that screws on to the smaller screw and brings it up to the larger size.

If it helps, I use a Gitzo G1127 Mountaineer tripod with a Manfrotto Junior Geared Head 410 without any need for an adapter.
