I see that a lot of folks identify the 3021 as kind of a standard tripod in aluminum.

Is there a close equivalent in Manfrotto's line in carbon fiber or their magfiber?

I recently purchased a used Benro C-228 for $230 US - it supports 27 lbs easily. I usually don't think highly of the quality of Chinese products, but this is a good product and value. My other legs are the 3021s.

ive got the 055 MF4 and am very happy.

btw -i hate stating the obvious but some people don't know - 'mag fibre' is not magnesium fibre - it's carbon fibre and the metallic pieces are magnesium.
