Stephnie,
Have you formatted the card yet ? You must format the card before you start to capture images. You can format the card by inserting it into your camera. Press the menu button and scroll down to the format option. If you have any trouble just check out your owners manual.
Buy the way..... I have a microdrive for sale if you or anyone else is interested. I have had it less than a month. It was only used 2 times. (never dropped or abused). I just rather have 3-4 small cards than one big one.
Thanks,
John

Thank you for your help. I did format it
and it still did not work, i had to copy
something from my computer on it and
after delete it to make it work for some
reason. A few days later the same error c
came up for no reason so i had to do
everything all over again to make it work
. I have to say that i am pretty worry witr
microdrives, i am going to Spain in a few
weeks and i am wondering what to do to
make sure that it will not stop on me, i
will not have any computer up there so...,
tank's again.

If I were you, should have gone to Frys (if you are in California) or order at their website outpost.com some CF card.

Costoco also sell CF but their price is a bit high.

Stephane: You didn't mention the camera you are using your microdrive in ?
I have two 1GB microdrives working without problems and also some of my fellow photographers have experienced no failures. so it might be a bit premature to judge them generally unreliable.

Thank's for the reply, you are probably right, it's just that after waiting for two mounths it's very upseting to get a defective microdrive just two weeks before my very anticipating trip in Spain....i will send it back anyway...and bit the bulet by bying the memory by miself.
