I connected a laptop to the 10d and used remote capture 2.7.1.15 and I had the thought that I could use the same software to do time keep the shutter open longer then 30 secs. Can this be done or am I just dreaming ?

Any help will be greatful.

thanks

Hmmm, do you suppose we could also use a script of some sort to do time-lapse series using the PC?

well with the remote software you can set it up so you can take a number of shots just secs apart, once you have enough pictures, you should then be able to unport then and use PS to cut then down and create what you need.

I would like to use the laptop to take exposers longer than 30 secs

I would have thought since the camera is software controlled , it would have been easy.

the sdk only has a single 'take a picture' call, to do a bulb exposure would need a start and stop call
