View Full Version : Which Anti-Twist Plate

Can anyone tell me which anti-twist plate(s) I would need for use with my 10D and a Stroboframe flash bracket (probably the Pro-T) both with and without the vertical grip ("BIG ED").
I have looked at the B&H web site and it is not obvious to me which plates should be used with the 10D.
Any suggestions appreciated!

I use the Pro-T with the 10D and the BG-ED3. The antitwist plate I use is marked "35H". It's flat with the back edge curled up a bit. It works OK but I wish that the plate was a bit wider so that it had both sides curled. Then the BG-ED3 would sit naturally in the plate. Maybe this plate or a better one from Stroboframe exists. If anyone knows of a better one let me know.
As it is the 35H requires me to start the screw into the tripod hole and then make sure that the curled edge presses up against the back of the vertical grip, before I fully tighten it up. It must be snug or a little bit of movement will occur and then the bracket will loosen.
I've never tried the bracket without the BG-ED3 so I can't say it the 35H plate would work or not.

Hey Dave,
Thanks for your reply. Would it be possible for you to try the flash bracket and anti-twist plate without the BG-ED3 and report back how it works? I've been searching all over the net and can not find which plates are recommended with the 10D. ARGHHHHH!
Thanks for any help...

I tried it and it fits fine.

Thanks, Dave.
I even called the U.S. distributors for the Stroboframe (The Saunders Group) and they were not even able to tell me which plate to use with the 10D. It must be a big secret!
