Took this on September 11th from a lookout above the George Washington Bridge. Supposed to be the Worlds largest US flag to be flown. Pic doesn't do it justice, it was a huge flag.

no kidding, it looks like the same size as those trailers on the road (40ft or so?)

love the sky in this shot, beautiful! Thought the bridge looks a tad hot.

thats the actual color of the bridge. A very flat grey that they use to prevent rust from forming but if you look you'll see some.

At night they light up the towers and give a spectacular sight. I just hope i can get up there to get a shot.

Yeah the bridge does dwarf the flag a bit. As Andy said though, if you compare it to the trucks you get a good idea of the size.

Wonderful shot!!

I prefer the second one - nice pic (even thought it is larger than the recommended 800max for the forum)

bluej511, there's no more army guys now, maybe on the NY side. They have or had this rent-a-cop who thinks he knows every law known to man. Im going to test the whole "can't take pics here" thing next weekend. Going to try and get some shots of the bridge from underneath. All will be taken from a public boat launch. No tresspassing whatsoever.

i like better b/c the diagnol line of the bridge and the diagnol formation of the clouds go opposite ways.

I have gotten lost going off and on that bridge for years! Love the shots. I think the second one is crystal clear. Thanks for posting. That flag does look huge. I wonder how they hung it up?
