Here are some shots I took today of my son's football game.

Both of the pictures seem to have just too much going on but that is usually what happens in a little league game.

Since you want a critique: the shots are overexposed and there's nothing really interesting happening in these shots as you said.

Thank you for the critique. I have no problem with what anyone says about my photos. I believe it is one of the best ways to learn how to take photos. I really appreciate anyone who takes the time to help others. Once again thank you.

I can't find the ball in #2. So, let's skip that one.

In #1, I think that a much tighter crop on the players at the right would give you a more interesting picture with less distracting material.
Since you do not have the "image editing allowed" enabled, I will send you a sample of what I mean, privately.

Those pictures are VERY over exposed and they are kind of all over the place. Try cropping them more

Here ya go, I didn't know what to do to make the ball stand out more. But this is much better as far as the expsosure goes...

Tighter crops really help with action sports such as football

Three steps will make these a lot better:

1> shoot in Av mode at a smaller aperture (f4-5.6... don't know what lens you have)
2> zoom in tighter to the action... if you don't have a zoom or a telephoto lens, then don't shoot sports
3> shoot raw. always. until you learn photography... shooting jpeg means you'll rarely be able to rescue mistakes...

Keep at it!
