Hi guys........ I'm new to the forum obviously, not sure if this is an obvious newbie question but I do not know much about photography so bear with me......

I was recently told that information about the time a picture was taken and with what camera it was taken is hidden inside every picture. I just wnated to know is it possible to remove this information from the picture?

If so how?

Sounds like your thinking of Exif information, if so just use the "Save for web" option as it removes the Exif.

Here is an example of what it looks like.

Yes, it's not hidden it's embedded. It's called EXIF data, many photoediting programs will be able to read EXIF data, just try googling about it.
