How, and using what kind of software, can I print out a single picture bigger than its original size? Each page would be just a single piece of the original picture on one piece of paper, which I would then have to connect together.

I think the option is for Tile printing.

You may wish to interpolate the image first so as to smooth out any blockiness created by printing the original graphic larger than normal.

The best interpolating software is an add on to PhotoShop. It's called something similar to 'True Fractals'. It's not cheap though.
