very nice. I am wondering why the first couple have different coloring. I'm guessing the were closer to the horizon, and if that is the case over what span of time were the series taken to let the later shots be so much higher in the sky?

You're right; it's because the Moon was pretty low on the horizon.. All pics were taken within ~2 hours, enough to change the colour of the Moon.

Very nice. I would like to see bigger versions of it. 12x is pretty good amount of zoom :)

Your wish is my command! ;)
Here's the original version, 3540x680px [], though it's a little unsharp...

So roughly you took a shot every 15 minutes or so?

Awesome image... if it were mine, I'd link it in a wikipedia article about eclipses or something. It's too nice not to share.

the suns light was passing through the earths atmosphere thus colouring the light making the moon appear red...

Its really nice (Fly on....).
Infact I also tried to take pictures with my 28-135 mm lens :( and as expected mine looks much smaller than yours.

I was too tired to stay up and watch it, so I ended up missing it. Thanks for sharing.
I'm a little dissapointed though that it was only that little shaded. I was expecting the eclispe to cover the entire moon?? Where were you located (State wise) when you took them?
Again, thanks for sharing
